President of Mangalore Management Association (MMA)
Former director of Mangalore International Airport
Vasudeva is a silent foot soldier who’s working to improve the economy of the coastal region of Karnataka. His work ranges across from Karwar through Mangalore to Kozhikode. He’s relentlessly worked to upgrade Bajpe (Mangalore) airport to international status.
To demonstrate his balanced development abilities though, he’s initiated a plan to satisfactorily resettle people displaced by the runway expansion work. His efforts at Mangalore airport have helped industry in the coastal region by connecting it to the Arabian Gulf. The airport has saved several travellers the hassle of flying via other international airports. Hajj pilgrims from the region too benefit from direct flights.
He’s currently the president elect of the Mangalore Management Association (MMA) and has received several awards including the prestigious Rajyotsava award.
Aam Aadmi Party is fielding Vasudeva from the highly literate and economically important constituency of Dakshina Kannada, giving its people an honest and committed alternative. We believe his experience will help improve the poorly coordinated transport infrastructure of the region. This in effect will help make the region a prominent trade and investment hub – second only to Bangalore. Vasudeva’s record gives us confidence that he’ll bring these improvements with full attention to local communities.
