Gurudev S.H

Gurudev is a young professional engineer qualified in computer science and is currently working for a private company. He is the Son of a progressive Farmer and President of Bharatiya Krishik Samaj, in Koppa Taluk of Chikmagalur district. He is an environmentalist, hailing from the ecologically rich Shringeri region on the borders of Udupi and Chikmagalur districts. He has taken up issues concerning the Western Ghats, being the most fragile ecosystem in the world which is subjected to constant threats like monoculture plantations, Mining, new Hydel power projects and unscientific development practices.

He has taken up issues of marginal farmers, environmental activism aggressively in social media and is keen to take the message to the masses in Chikmagalur.

As a true face of the young India and protector of the fragile ecosystem of the western ghats, Gurudev is fielded from the Udupi-Chikmagalur parliamentary constituency.
